I earned my Ph.D in Management from Warwick Business School (WBS) in September 2018. Currently I am a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Healthcare Management and Leadership at The University of Sheffield (UK). In 2020 I completed my Post-Doctoral Fellowship at WBS evaluating the UK National Health Service (NHS) partnership with Virginia Mason Institute (USA).
My current research interests include healthcare quality and safety management. Specifically how healthcare professionals respond to organizational failure, and the recovery trajectory of these ‘second victims’. Further, I am evaluating the role of a compact, an explicit 'psychological contract', between system regulators and hospital CEOs, to understand how it was created and maintained throughout a five-year partnership.
Drawing on 10+ years of international health and insurance industry management experience, I acquired specialist knowledge and expertise which influences my research and teaching. Most recently I was Risk Manager of a large integrated hospital system in Canada.
